Week 2 – May 9^th

Stunning developments in the venerable O-40 league

Upstart Bloomington, (no name yet?), defeated upstart Kickers-too, in 3-2 contest that was of no interest to any true Ranger fan. Sounds to me like 36 players who’d rather be a Ranger!

Defending champion Canes rebounded from a season-opening loss to no-name Bloomington, with a thunderous 1-0 victory over 3-time champion Kickers Old- stars/alte-kameraden/what’s-your-name-next-year?.

The ever gracious Ancient Rangers sent their second consecutive opponent home happy, with a resounding 1-7 defeat at the hands of normally hapless White Bear.

Will their generosity last forever? What a great bunch of guys!!!

Newly formed, not-good-enough-to-wear-Ranger-red rookies Rangers2, were lucky enough to squeak out a 2-0 victory over darkhorse favorite Silverbacks.

All in all, an unsettling week for reporter/0-40 guru/man-about-town Ranger Bob who did not consume enough alcohol this week to put his heart into this weeks edition as he did last week. Why am I typing in the 3^rd person? I promise better for next week!
