Week 4 brought few surprises, except for the fact that Ranger Bob went home fairly sober. Bloomington destroyed an overmatched, undermanned, and hurting Ancient Rangers team by a league record score of 15-0. Without the leadership of fearless leader and ass-kicker Ranger Bob, (who was playing for the similarly short-handed Rangers2), the boys couldn’t get to the beer fast enough on this glorious football evening. (Glorious weather if you’re English anyways!) Kickers Old-stars celebrated the return of Gunther Schilling from his sabbatical, with a 3-0 upset of Silverbacks, who are already preparing for this year’s trip to Duluth, on the July 7th weekend. Kickers2 were able to hold down the potent offense-laden White Bear team, for a 3-2 victory, that pulled them within 3 points of league leader Bloomington, while dropping White Bear 2 points back of the rare air they were sharing just last week. Defending champion Canes stayed on the winning track with a 3-1 victory over Rangers2. League standings through 4 weeks are as follows: Pts. GF GA Bloomington 7 21 2 Canes 6 7 4 White Bear 5 21 10 Kickers2 4 8 8 Rangers2 4 3 14 Silverbacks 3 8 8 Kickers Old-stars 3 5 6 Ancient Rangers 0 3 34 If you have any comments, they will be welcomed at the web-site’s message board. Till next week. Ranger Bob |
